What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is a unique type of botulinum toxin injectable (neuromodulator) that is FDA-approved for cosmetic treatment. However, it can safely be used for off-label treatments when provided by a board-certified dermatologist or certified injector. Jeuveau uses botulinum toxin type A to temporarily block nerve signals to the facial muscles. This relaxes them, weakening muscle contractions and therefore preventing the formation of wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements.

The Jeuveau Procedure
Jeuveau treatment takes less than 30 minutes and is relatively painless, aside from a tiny needle stick. Topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand if desired. Once the treatment area is cleaned and prepped, Jeuveau will be injected into the facial muscles using a fine needle.
Mild needle marksvmay uncommonly occur but should subside within a few days. Patients can immediately return to work and other daily activities, making this a perfect “lunchtime procedure.” However, strenuous exercise, massage, and placing pressure on the injection site should be avoided for 72 hours to preserve your results.
Jeuveau Results and Longevity
Jeuveau results are not immediate since it takes time for the muscles to relax. Patients can start to see results as quickly as 2-4 days after treatment but it can take up to one week for final results to develop. Jeuveau injections last an average of three to four months, but some patients have experienced wrinkle-free skin for up to six months. Your rejuvenated appearance can be maintained with additional treatments.
